Solitude Saturday!
"It is good to be solitary, for solitude is difficult;
that something is difficult must be a reason the more for us to do it.”
— Rainer Maria Rilke
“In solitude where we are least alone” — Lord Byron
“Solitude is strength; to depend on the presence of the crowd is weakness.
"The man who needs a mob to nerve him is much more alone than he imagines.”
— Paul Brunton
Good Morning,
These past few weeks have been a great adventure for me. I am learning the fine art of spending time alone away from all of the noise of the world and the constant sounds of a ringing phones, nonsense texting, tweets, and other of life full distractions. For thime being, I have turned off my phone and have only turned on to check my work~ scheduled appointments and checked if new clients needed services. Other than that, the phone was off and I spent time meditating, reading spiritual books, watching nature, saying prayers~~~~ for myself, others, our community here on the Gulf Coast dealing with oil spills and the like. I ventured inward to connect with myself on a deeper deeper level. I found a Solitude to be comforting, soothing for my soul and just what I needed to recharge and refresh myself from a very busy summer. Ahh....how good it feels to have time to just breathe and just be.
You may think that to be alone is to be anti-social! On the contrary, solitude is undervalued these days. "Having a deep connection to yourself above others is rarely pursued as an art." We are so plugged into technology, the latest and greatest gadgets, phones, tools, and we’re news hounds, too. Unplugging is so uncommon yet so necessary. I find that people bemoan their single hood, not having full social calendars, and chilling out with a glass of wine and a remote while wearing sweatpants means you’re a loser without a life. Not true. But that’s also not the way to fully nurture yourself, either." There must be a balance.......both are necessary without a doubt!
As you know, I love having scores of friends, checking out crowds, going to the beach, and spending time with loved ones. But sometimes it’s excessive and escapist. Taking a break and a time out seems almost selfish, but it’s the opposite. It is responsible and necessary to find time to be a "recluse." It is in this solitude, I can think undisturbed, meditate, cultivate intimacy with my own needs and desires, and create, create, create!!!!!! I love to write in my journal, scribble, make collages, vision boards, listen to music, meditate, enjoy and appreciate myself.
Sometimes taking a bath, a walk, a hike, or a stroll undisturbed is when our best ideas and "epiphanies percolate without force. "They simply appear. They’re often our best because we didn’t have to brainstorm with anyone else, we didn’t have to cull them on deadline, and they’re our own, from a deep place inside…

So, whatever, whatever is going on in your world, now maybe a good time, especially since it is Saturday, to find things that please you....things that you want to do and NOT HAVE to do. I know you are extremely busy with family and friends, but can't you take just a morning or late afternoon and be alone.....and do nothing or something you want to do...
Think about it, then decide if you would appreciate.....moments in solitude!
I relish mine.....
Happy Saturday!
Live well, live boldly, and Appreciate YOU!

I hope that this day brings you nice ending to your work week and a open door for a weekend full of fun. This week has been full of quiet insights and internal changes for me. I am beginning to see the light of a new dawn and the settling of raw emotions taking on healing.
We are now in a time of great external earth changes....earthquakes, oil spills, hot weather, as well as, internal changes..... letting go old stuff we no longer need in life, friends, personal items, etc and thoughts we held dear of what we believed to be true till the end of time. We are now realizing... what was once safe and predictable has now shifted and things do not appear as they once did! For me, that is a good thing. I like change, I welcome it....even if it initially hurts and makes me feel uncomfortable. I know it is good for my growth. I may moan and groan, but ultimately, I am grateful to have an opportunity to move forward and take different road, to see new terrian, and nature at it's finest. If I would stay just where I am, I may miss something really spectacle....so....I accept letting go of the old and moving onto a new path....
Today, I want to leave you with this message from Rev. Angela. It is what I now know for sure.... I hope your soul can hear the sounds of new beginnings in your life and know that we are not meant to suffer, but enjoy life with all of it's beauty and luster!
Have a great weekend.....
Be Happy! Be Well! Live, Laugh, and LOVE daily!

"I will no longer live my life halfbaked!"
"I was not created to suffer, to learn lessons, to improve myself, or to somehow 'get better'.
I was created by the Universe to create a life that contains...whatever I choose.
Because the laws of the Universe operate upon what I truly believe,
if I believe that I must suffer to experience a life of spiritual connection,
I receive suffering in abundance.
If I believe that I'm here to learn something I didn't pick up the first time around,
life brings me many learning opportunities until I learn by choice or by force.
In precisely the same manner, if I believe that I am here to give and receive love without limit, abundance without end, and joy without boundaries, that is what I receive.
I pay close attention to the subtleties of my mind and my heart.
I notice when I'm believing in less than a perfect universe operating perfectly.
I see clearly each instance in which I act upon the belief that Life is finite, lacking intelligence, or capricious...AND CHANGE MY MIND.
I do this by using my innate and inherent spiritual power to guide my beliefs to the Truth.
Anything in me that is out of alignment with the greater expression of Truth
for me is now obliterated by means of this treatment.
I'm no longer willing to live life halfway. I trust in the infinite promise of Spirit,
that I may have life and have it more abundantly. "
And so it is.....
Daily see your life full of abundance and love!
Blessings to you and yours,
darlene

Good Morning Friends,
Today I am going to share with you some ideas about living a more passionate life.
I think it is important to first learn the STOP Signs to moving forward...
I feel there are Three things that prevent anyone from living a passionate life:
False Beliefs -
False Concepts -
False Ideas
To begin moving and growing into that passionate life, think about one of the tools I am giving you today......Take a piece of paper or your journal and make three headings!
False Beliefs, False Concepts, False Ideas.
Now close your eyes and think about your beliefs about life....what are they?
Are they positive or maybe not really true.....you decide....be honest as this is FOR YOUR EYES ONLY!
Then take the last two phrases and work with them.
After some EXCAVATING, the first step on the journey, take some time to read what you wrote. If you need some fresh insight or support, I am here to read your blog...or give me a call.
Many blessings on the road to an abundant life!
darlene
My blessing for you this day is:
May my day be filled with new thoughts and insights that will help me to unearth the things that have been holding be back from living my best life!
I am open and receptive to new ways and ideas with love and gratitude!
And so it is.....
Live your best life NOW!

Good Morning Friends,
Here is a wonderful affirmation that I use daily!
Enjoy!
"I shall keep the promise that I have made to myself.
I shall never again tell myself that
I shall never again tell myself that
I am poor, sick, weak, nor unhappy.
I shall not lie to myself any more, but shall daily speak the
truth to my inner Soul, telling It hat It is wonderful and
marvelous; that It is One with the Great Cause of all Life,
Truth, Power and Action.
I shall whisper these things into my Soul until it breaks
forth into songs of joy with the realization of Its
Limitless possibilities. "
Yes, I shall assure my Soul.
