have a beautiful autumn dear friends

Good Morning Dear Friends,
How are you?
It has been some time since I blogged! Wow, I have missed it. Life has been very busy with planning and doing retreats, workshops and personal trips to be with family and friends.
Fall is now upon us and it is time to harvest the wheat.....harvest all of the new thoughts, ideas, and experiencse that we planted last spring in our garden of life. It is time to stop and take a few minutes to listen to our heart and soul and see what we have manifested in the past months.
You may say.....well...nothing has changed...it all seems the same or it may even be worse, but the truth is....there has been some changes and there has been some new things that have come your way, you just may not have been paying attention ....so, today, sit back in your comfy chair and harvest your "goods."
Wishing much love on the journey of life....write me and keep me posted on all of the changes in your life!
Love, light, and many blessings, darlene

The Morning Blessing:
"Today I refuse to listen to the sqawking of the world that makes no sense.
I know that within me are all of the answers I need to move forward.
I take time to listen to my soul and allow It to speak to me.
I accept this information with love and allow blessings to just come to me.
I have planted a beautiful garden in my life and I am now ready to enjoy all of my harvest.
I give thanks and let my new thoughts/harvest renew, refresh,
and fill with eternal love and light.
And so it is....
Amen

Eat, Pray, Love!
I hope you will get the book to read, and definetely get out to the movies this weekend to see it.
I would like to start a blog on the book...any takers...
Here is the beginning...you can check out Oprah to read more for free..
BOOK ONE
Italy or "Say It Like You Eat It" or 36 Tales About the Pursuit of PleasureI wish Giovanni would kiss me.Oh, but there are so many reasons why this would be a terrible idea. To begin with, Giovanni is ten years younger than I am, and—like most Italian guys in their twenties—he still lives with his mother. These facts alone make him an unlikely romantic partner for me, given that I am a professional American woman in my mid-thirties, who has just come through a failed marriage and a devastating, interminable divorce, followed immediately by a passionate love affair that ended in sickening heartbreak. This loss upon loss has left me feeling sad and brittle and about seven-thousand years old. Purely as a matter of principle, I wouldn't inflict my sorry, busted-up old self on the lovely, unsullied Giovanni. Not to mention that I have finally arrived at that age where a woman starts to question whether the wisest way to get over therthe loss of one beautiful brown-eyed young man is indeed to promptly invite another one into her bed. This is why I have been alone for many months now. This is why, in fact, I have decided to spend this entire year in celibacy. To which the savvy observer might inquire: "Then why did you come to Italy?"To which I can only reply—especially when looking across the table at handsome Giovanni—"Excellent question."Giovanni is my Tandem Exchange Partner. That sounds like an innuendo but un-fortunately is not. All it really means is that we meet a few evenings a week here in Rome to practice each other's language. We speak first in Italian, and he is patient with me; then we speak in English, and I am patient with him. I discovered Giovanni a few weeks after I arrived in Rome, thanks to that big Internet cafĂ© at the Piazza Barberini, across the street from that fountain with the sculpture of that sexy merman blowing into his conch shell. He (Giovanni, that is—not the merman) had posted a flier on the bulletin board explaining that a native Italian speaker was seeking a native English speaker for conversational language practice. Right beside his appeal was another flier with the same request, word-for-word identical in every way, right down to the typeface. The only difference was the contact information. One flier listed an e-mail address for some-body named Giovanni; the other introduced somebody named Dario. But even the home phone number was the same.Using my keen intuitive powers, I e-mailed both men at the same time, asking in Italian, "Are you perhaps brothers?"It was Giovanni who wrote back this very provocativo message: "Even better. Twins!"Yes—much better. Tall, dark, and handsome identical twenty-five-year-old twins, as it turned out, with those giant brown liquid-center Italian eyes that just unstitch me. ...

The Law of Least Effort

Nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease . . . with carefreeness, harmony, and love. And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.
I will put the Law of Least Effort into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
1. I will practice Acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.
2. Having accepted things as they are, I will take Responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.
3. Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

The Power of Change!
"If we don't change, we don't grow.
If we don't grow, we aren't really living."
"He who rejects change is the architect of decay."
"We must be the change we wish to see."
- Mohandas (Mahatma) Gandhi
Good Morning!
Happy Midweek! I feel change all about it. In fact, I got a nice e-mail from my dearest cousin~brother, Gerard about just that. When I thanked him for his generous thoughts and inspiration on a new life.....he responded with~~~~"NOW EMBRACE IT!" Wow, that was a light bulb moment. I realized I talk and talk...now I need to walk it.......so......
Sometimes change is about action, and sometimes change is about one's relationship with life. No matter what change you want to embark upon in life......Strength and courage are needed to move forward! Realize that by taking one baby step~ doing just one thing to meet your goal can be the action required to move forward.....
Today, just look at life in a different way. View it from outside of yourself. Then see what you can do here and now to grow and "really live!"

Good Morning Friends,
During my meditation yesterday, I heard the words make it a kindness week.....and so....
I declare this week to be a week to be KIND! Find ways everyday to stop what you are doing and look at the situation you maybe in and give things a little spice by doing something kind or wonderful for another person or a cause. You will find that by doing the smallest act, it will give you not only great pleasure, a sense of self worth, but also, let live a more soulful life!
Many blessings for a wonderful KIND week!

Meditation On… To Follow The Light… !!! :)))Image by Denis Collette...!!! via Flickr

Solitude Saturday!
"It is good to be solitary, for solitude is difficult;
that something is difficult must be a reason the more for us to do it.”
— Rainer Maria Rilke

“In solitude where we are least alone” — Lord Byron

“Solitude is strength; to depend on the presence of the crowd is weakness.
"The man who needs a mob to nerve him is much more alone than he imagines.”
— Paul Brunton
Good Morning,
These past few weeks have been a great adventure for me. I am learning the fine art of spending time alone away from all of the noise of the world and the constant sounds of a ringing phones, nonsense texting, tweets, and other of life full distractions. For thime being, I have turned off my phone and have only turned on to check my work~ scheduled appointments and checked if new clients needed services. Other than that, the phone was off and I spent time meditating, reading spiritual books, watching nature, saying prayers~~~~ for myself, others, our community here on the Gulf Coast dealing with oil spills and the like. I ventured inward to connect with myself on a deeper deeper level. I found a Solitude to be comforting, soothing for my soul and just what I needed to recharge and refresh myself from a very busy summer. Ahh....how good it feels to have time to just breathe and just be.
You may think that to be alone is to be anti-social! On the contrary, solitude is undervalued these days. "Having a deep connection to yourself above others is rarely pursued as an art." We are so plugged into technology, the latest and greatest gadgets, phones, tools, and we’re news hounds, too. Unplugging is so uncommon yet so necessary. I find that people bemoan their single hood, not having full social calendars, and chilling out with a glass of wine and a remote while wearing sweatpants means you’re a loser without a life. Not true. But that’s also not the way to fully nurture yourself, either." There must be a balance.......both are necessary without a doubt!
As you know, I love having scores of friends, checking out crowds, going to the beach, and spending time with loved ones. But sometimes it’s excessive and escapist. Taking a break and a time out seems almost selfish, but it’s the opposite. It is responsible and necessary to find time to be a "recluse." It is in this solitude, I can think undisturbed, meditate, cultivate intimacy with my own needs and desires, and create, create, create!!!!!! I love to write in my journal, scribble, make collages, vision boards, listen to music, meditate, enjoy and appreciate myself.
Sometimes taking a bath, a walk, a hike, or a stroll undisturbed is when our best ideas and "epiphanies percolate without force. "They simply appear. They’re often our best because we didn’t have to brainstorm with anyone else, we didn’t have to cull them on deadline, and they’re our own, from a deep place inside…
So, whatever, whatever is going on in your world, now maybe a good time, especially since it is Saturday, to find things that please you....things that you want to do and NOT HAVE to do. I know you are extremely busy with family and friends, but can't you take just a morning or late afternoon and be alone.....and do nothing or something you want to do...
Think about it, then decide if you would appreciate.....moments in solitude!
I relish mine.....
Happy Saturday!
Live well, live boldly, and Appreciate YOU!

Good Friday Morning Friends!
I hope that this day brings you nice ending to your work week and a open door for a weekend full of fun. This week has been full of quiet insights and internal changes for me. I am beginning to see the light of a new dawn and the settling of raw emotions taking on healing.
We are now in a time of great external earth changes....earthquakes, oil spills, hot weather, as well as, internal changes..... letting go old stuff we no longer need in life, friends, personal items, etc and thoughts we held dear of what we believed to be true till the end of time. We are now realizing... what was once safe and predictable has now shifted and things do not appear as they once did! For me, that is a good thing. I like change, I welcome it....even if it initially hurts and makes me feel uncomfortable. I know it is good for my growth. I may moan and groan, but ultimately, I am grateful to have an opportunity to move forward and take different road, to see new terrian, and nature at it's finest. If I would stay just where I am, I may miss something really spectacle....so....I accept letting go of the old and moving onto a new path....
Today, I want to leave you with this message from Rev. Angela. It is what I now know for sure.... I hope your soul can hear the sounds of new beginnings in your life and know that we are not meant to suffer, but enjoy life with all of it's beauty and luster!
Have a great weekend.....
Be Happy! Be Well! Live, Laugh, and LOVE daily!
darlene
"I will no longer live my life halfbaked!"

"I was not created to suffer, to learn lessons, to improve myself, or to somehow 'get better'.
I was created by the Universe to create a life that contains...whatever I choose.
Because the laws of the Universe operate upon what I truly believe,
if I believe that I must suffer to experience a life of spiritual connection,
I receive suffering in abundance.
If I believe that I'm here to learn something I didn't pick up the first time around,
life brings me many learning opportunities until I learn by choice or by force.
In precisely the same manner, if I believe that I am here to give and receive love without limit, abundance without end, and joy without boundaries, that is what I receive.
I pay close attention to the subtleties of my mind and my heart.
I notice when I'm believing in less than a perfect universe operating perfectly.
I see clearly each instance in which I act upon the belief that Life is finite, lacking intelligence, or capricious...AND CHANGE MY MIND.
I do this by using my innate and inherent spiritual power to guide my beliefs to the Truth.
Anything in me that is out of alignment with the greater expression of Truth
for me is now obliterated by means of this treatment.
I'm no longer willing to live life halfway. I trust in the infinite promise of Spirit,
that I may have life and have it more abundantly. "
And so it is.....
Daily see your life full of abundance and love!
Blessings to you and yours,
darlene

Good Morning Friends,
Today I am going to share with you some ideas about living a more passionate life.
I think it is important to first learn the STOP Signs to moving forward...
I feel there are Three things that prevent anyone from living a passionate life:
False Beliefs -
False Concepts -
False Ideas
To begin moving and growing into that passionate life, think about one of the tools I am giving you today......
Take a piece of paper or your journal and make three headings!
False Beliefs, False Concepts, False Ideas.
Now close your eyes and think about your beliefs about life....what are they?
Are they positive or maybe not really true.....you decide....be honest as this is FOR YOUR EYES ONLY!
Then take the last two phrases and work with them.
After some EXCAVATING, the first step on the journey, take some time to read what you wrote. If you need some fresh insight or support, I am here to read your blog...or give me a call.
Many blessings on the road to an abundant life!
darlene
My blessing for you this day is:
May my day be filled with new thoughts and insights that will help me to unearth the things that have been holding be back from living my best life!
I am open and receptive to new ways and ideas with love and gratitude!
And so it is.....
Live your best life NOW!

Good Morning Friends,
Here is a wonderful affirmation that I use daily!
Enjoy!
"I shall keep the promise that I have made to myself.
I shall never again tell myself that
I am poor, sick, weak, nor unhappy.
I shall not lie to myself any more, but shall daily speak the
truth to my inner Soul, telling It hat It is wonderful and
marvelous; that It is One with the Great Cause of all Life,
Truth, Power and Action.
I shall whisper these things into my Soul until it breaks
forth into songs of joy with the realization of Its
Limitless possibilities. "

Yes, I shall assure my Soul.

"Before we can forgive one another, we must understand one another."
-- Emma Goldman
I am willing to forgive and understand that all of this situation is in perfect Divine Order.
I am willing to SEE the true picture of my own creation and allow myself to accept, forgive, and let go of old thoughts and laugage in order to live my best life now!
I am ready to be happy and know I am never really alone! dmj'10

Good Morning Friends,

Mmmm. This quote opens my soul to new levels of understanding and to my knees. In the past weeks I have been working hard to find in my heart to forgive not only others that have hurt and abandon me, but also to let go of all of the events that led to my loss. It has been a long, hard challenge, and actually doing what I teach....radical forgiveness...not only the talk therapy, but, also all of the worksheets I give out, have helped me tremendously on the road to healing and renewal of the mind, body, and spirit. As I have been mo oping around and feeling sorry for my loss of friendship and sisterhood, I have also learned that thru deep soul searching that I created just what I needed to learn, grow, and mature into a new spiritual being. The dark of the night and all of the non-stop chatter about: being not good enough, I am alone, no one likes me, I did it all wrong, I said it all wrong, I will never have the strong bonds of sisterhood again...it's over..... what was I thinking or not.......all those negative ideas sent me into a downward spiral. I felt alone, lost, and abandon. I sat with all of it for awhile. I meditated, I journal ed, and I cried bucket of tears!!!!! Why oh why.....how could this all happen? I worked so hard, I was genuine....you get the point!!!!!!! On and on and on...........

Then during the night, I was awakened my a loud voice that said ....."Are you going to get swallowed up in your grief or are you going to listen to what you tell your clients and let go of the nonsense?" Are you ready for a new adventure? Are you willing to SEE the real truth of the matter? Are you ready to lay a new foundation and feel alive and whole in mind, body, and spirit again? In this dream state or whatever it was......I thought I was awake...but who knows, I just was in the moment and I could feel the hand of God on my shoulder, my angels all around me sending me light and love and I felt the embrace of the Holy Spirit. I felt loved! I was not abandoned. I was not and am not alone! I felt peace for the first time in weeks! I could breathe again fully and deeply! I then saw myself full of light and said yes to change, yes to a new beginning, yes to letting go of all of the 'Stuff" that kept me stuck and disabled to move forward. In the following moments I felt myself ready to SEE the real picture. I saw exactly what I needed to learn about my soul path. I saw a beautiful light of hope and adventure ahead. I knew that I had learned and worked what I came to this Universe to do. I was truly at peace with my decisions and ready to set new intentions for my life. This morning I awoke with a new truth and ready to enjoy a brand new day!

So, as you can see even if you are a healer, a spiritual life coach, a counselor, you will and do find blocks and huge boulders on the path......if not, you would not be human....we are as they say, spiritual beings on this earth with a body to have a human experience ...and that can be with the good, the bad, and the ugly! I hope from my sharing all of this...it has helped you understand more of what is going on in your life. If you need some inspiration, guidance or support on the journey of life, please blog....I am always open to new ideas, thoughts, and most willing to help you in any way possible!

Many blessings for a most wonderful day!

"Now is the time.

Needs are great, but your possibilities are greater."
-- Bill Blackman

Hello,

Just to let you know I have been out of town and did not have access to my computer and blog.

I do apologize! A family member became very ill and I had to be out of town to take care of the situation and help deal with many other family challenges. I am back now and so happy to be home to enjoy summer time here on the Gulf coast! The weather is a bit hot, but it is lovely to be in the sunshine and feel the sea breeze again! I so missed my sleepy little town and all of the gulf coast beauty.

I hope that you are well and you are enjoying the summertime. I hope that you are enjoying family picnics, swimming, and watching some beautiful sunsets with a nice beverage.

Now is the time to enjoy life......find some time each day to just BE...to watch the sun set, or get up a few minutes early and see God's creation come alive with brilliant colors and the watch the dew drops on the grass disappear.

Whatever makes you happy...take time TODAY to do it.

Do not put it off....you are worth a few minutes each day to feel your spirit come alive with joy by just taking a few minutes to breath in and breathe out.

Be happy, be well, BE now!

Many blessings!

Please take a few moments today to reflect on the quotes above. Each one has special meaning to me which I will delve into in the coming weeks. For now, I will leave you with a short message as I will be traveling this weekend to be with my children and family in another state.
The message is this...always keep the widow open to bring in the light....allow your mind to be open to see new and better possibilities. For when you are ready to take in the light, then you will also be a strong light out in the world...and we all need that right now.
Be the light.....

"The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers."

One of my favorite quotes!

On the path in Alliance, Ohio

Good Morning,

In past weeks I have been going within and finding myself very uncomfortable and unable to let go of certain situations and negative thoughts. So, I decided to take some time busy schedule, relax, listen to my inner self....my soul...and begin to "see" new ways to re-direct my life. It was in those dark moments that I found inspiration and joy to let go. By taking time to "see" what the root of the situation really was, it was easy to close the old door and open a new door to more positive ventures. I now feel empowered and ready to begin again with a clean slate. On a side note, I have been having some "eye" problems...probably do to age, but none-the-less, it really was about not seeing the siutation "Clearly." I see fine!

We all go thru dark times, have unpleasant, re-occurring thoughts and feelings. It is when you allow yourself the time and the space to feel it, experience it, then express in a positive manner, that you can truly let go and move into new directions or on a new path.

If you need some direction or some tools to help you on your journey, write me....

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many blessinsgs, darlene

Footprints in the sand... Where have you been? Where are you going? Pay attention. Don't let resentments or pessimism answer for you.

"I don't believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive."
-- Joseph Campbell

Dear Friends,

Get out there this weekend and enjoy life. Find some things you like to do outdoors and just be in the moment. Play with your kids, jump robe, fly a kite, swing on the old swing set, have a picnic lunch in the local park.....find free things to just "experience the feeling of being alive."

Enjoy!

Many blessings, darlene
